Dillon Danis Scoffs at Jake Paul’s $3M Offer to Tommy Fury for a Rematch

Jake Paul is looking for his next opponent following his victory against Mike Tyson at last year’s Netflix event, hoping to maintain momentum following their previous encounters and seeking another significant opponent to challenge in 2019. To this end, 28-year-old Tommy Fury could potentially make $3 Million, subject to certain terms and conditions.

Dillon Danis enters the fray as an unrivaled mixed martial artist; their previous clash in 2023 resulted in a violent exchange which spilled outside of the ring to include both teams involved and extended for several rounds despite Paul having Fury on his ropes during later rounds despite their initial fight in February 2023 ending with Paul suffering his sole career loss to Fury despite seemingly having him down despite several rounds being won by Gallo (El Gallo).

After unsuccessful negotiations with Canelo Alvarez, Gervonta Davis, and Anthony Joshua for a fight, Jake Paul took to social media to respond to a challenge from Fury. “I’m offering Tommy Fury $3 million to fight me in 2025,” Paul stated on X, adding, “The number is $4 million if he can legally get into the US. Let’s see who is ducking who.”

The issue of Fury’s inability to travel to the US for their initial bout in 2023 appears to remain unresolved. Despite this, the potential rematch presents a lucrative opportunity, although Fury remains unimpressed by the offer. “No worries at all mate, hope that loss doesn’t eat you up too much,” he retorted to Paul.

Fury expressed his dissatisfaction more explicitly, emphasizing the lower offer compared to their first fight despite his victory. Accusing Paul of using financial excuses to avoid the rematch, Fury stated, “You brag about making $50m for fights but yet won’t pay up for the only real fight you have left. Showing your true colours my friend. Keep running scared. I’ll see you very soon.”

Danis turned the conversation away from Paul to instead discuss KSI, whom he was originally scheduled to fight before withdrawing due to lack of preparation in January 2024. When that fight fell through due to illness for both fighters, Danis could only think to compare their respective paydays; showing off his superior earnings by contrast.

Due to ongoing negotiations and disputes between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury, their futures as boxing combatants is unclear; fans and critics alike continue to speculate whether Paul undervalues Fury as part of his assessment process.
