Tyson Fury has returned to the public eye, according to Paris Fury and is here for good. Recently he demonstrated his boxing talents at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium during a doubleheader event; following an emphatic win in his Netflix debut against Arslanbek Makhmudov he set his sights on one person present that evening: Paris Fury herself!
“I want Anthony Joshua,” Tyson exclaimed, addressing Joshua directly, and offering to make Britain-vs-Britain battle of Britain an eventful spectacle for fight fans everywhere.
Despite Anthony Joshua declining to step into the ring for a faceoff with Fury, Paris Fury has revealed that Tyson is committed to continuing his boxing career.
“I think Tyson has signed a deal now to do three more fights,” Paris Fury shared. “I saw him out of the ring and saw the unhappiness, so to see him smile like this, and as long as I know he’s had a three-month camp, he’s trained unbelievably, he’s put himself completely first and put all the fitness in, then I know he’s done everything he can, so I am totally here for it.”
Following the fight, Tyson Fury confirmed he has signed his part of the contract to face Anthony Joshua, though Joshua has yet to finalize the agreement. Social media posts have suggested that the fight could take place in the autumn, but progress remains uncertain. Fury’s actions appear aimed at positioning Joshua as reluctant, portraying him as the obstacle preventing one of British boxing’s biggest matchups.
Whether Fury’s next fight will be against Joshua remains unclear. Joshua’s refusal to engage on fight night indicates ongoing negotiations behind the scenes. Fury’s public callout seems designed to pressure Joshua into accepting the challenge. On the other hand, Joshua might still be considering the terms of the offer, contributing to the repeated delays in making this highly anticipated fight a reality. It would certainly disappoint fans if the bout fails to come together once again.
Anthony Joshua’s Perspective on Facing Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua has maintained a cautious stance regarding the prospect of fighting Tyson Fury, emphasizing that talk means little until contracts are signed and they meet officially in the ring.
“I’m going to be completely honest,” Joshua said. “There’s a negotiation to go through… Contracts will be sent over, and I’ll more than likely be in the ring with him next.”
Despite the growing anticipation surrounding the fight, Joshua remains guarded.
“If I’m honest with you right now, until we’re in the ring, there is no fight with him.”
He also resisted any claims that he was avoiding the fight.
“I’m not ducking [anyone]. I know what my job is… I run the game. When I hit Fury, I’m gonna hurt him bad.”
Joshua acknowledged that personal factors have influenced his focus and highlighted his experience with previous failed negotiations. He noted he has “been here a million times” dealing with Fury and others in similar situations.
Joshua may soon take steps towards fighting Deontay Wilder, adding another intriguing boxing match-up into his future plans.
Under current circumstances, an anticipated fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua seems inevitable; but even if that fight doesn’t materialize as anticipated, Paris Fury confirmed her husband has signed a three-fight deal which guarantees him continued involvement in boxing.
