Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson, familiar faces on FOX Sports sidelines during NFL games during FOX Sports broadcasts, will soon take to a different platform this summer. Following on the success of their Calm Down podcast series, these duos will now make an appearance at Netflix Is A Joke festival later in June.
Calm Down podcasters Andrews and Thompson recently revealed on Instagram that they will perform at Hollywood Improv as part of Netflix Is A Joke festival on May 6th. Tickets to attend have already gone on sale so fans can witness these dynamic duo bring their distinctive comedy live for all to experience! Tickets to attend can now be purchased, providing fans an opportunity to witness Andrews and Thompson bring their special brand of humor directly before an audience in Los Angeles.
This 2026 Netflix Is A Joke festival will run from May 4th to May 10th, featuring live performances across more than 440 venues. The appearance of Calm Down with Erin and Charissa is scheduled for 7:30 pm on May 6th at the Hollywood Improv, marking another milestone for the successful broadcasters.
The podcast is celebrated for its candid conversations on a variety of topics that range from sports and fashion to personal girl talk. Since its launch on iHeartRadio in 2021, the show has amassed a strong following with over 400 episodes and thousands of listeners. It has featured notable guests such as NFL players and Olympic athletes, creating a distinctive blend of entertainment and sports commentary.
While this will excite many fans, this isn’t Andrews and Thompson’s first time participating in the Netflix Is A Joke festival. They were also part of the 2024 edition, joining other notable personalities in the comedy and sports world.
Sports Personalities Featured at Netflix Is A Joke Festival
The festival also includes appearances by other sports figures such as former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin, who will have a live podcast performance on May 8th at the Peppermint Club. Additionally, the popular Pardon My Take podcast will celebrate its tenth anniversary during the event.
Bill Simmons, a prominent voice in the NFL and NBA communities, will also be featured. Known for his insightful and sometimes provocative commentary on sports and pop culture, Simmons’ participation is expected to attract a large audience of sports fans.
Apart from sporting acts, this festival also hosts world-class comedians and entertainers such as John Mulaney, Adam Devine, Ali Wong and Nikki Glaser – each providing attendees with a varied comedy repertoire.
The 2026 Netflix Is A Joke festival will mark its third installment. Prior iterations drew enormous interest due to a roast of NFL legend Tom Brady featuring numerous football icons; while this year promises more excitement with comedian Kevin Hart taking centre stage for one of its headline shows.
