An NFL teaser video for 2025-26 season generated much interest among its fan base, featuring star players like Maxx Crosby, Quinnen Williams and Dion Dawkins discussing who should occupy their top spots. Micah Parsons tweeted the clip back then which added further buzz about this annual highlight that began back in 2011.
Parsons’ response to the NFL post was ironic in nature as he expressed his displeasure by writing, “Clip Farming…,” while having contributed footage critical of him in its creation. Many viewers noted this humorous irony.
The linebacker appeared in the clip endorsing Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, whom he referred to as the “Iceman.” While the full ranking of Williams by Parsons remains unseen, it is clear the NFL knew what they were doing by including Parsons in the video. His retweet seems to serve as a subtle attempt to shift responsibility back to the NFL or to manage potential backlash.
Recognized as one of the premier pass rushers with an impressive career sack total, Parsons has proven difficult for most quarterbacks to handle. Caleb Williams stands out as an exception. The Bears and Packers, two teams with a long-standing rivalry, last met in January during an exciting Wild Card game where Williams threw for 361 yards and two touchdowns while Parsons watched from the sidelines.
During a Week 14 matchup last season between the Packers and Bears, Parsons went without recording a sack for the first time in a month. The Bears focused more on their rushing attack that day but ultimately fell short, losing 28-21.
This offseason, other defenders across the NFL have acknowledged how challenging it is to defend Williams. His ability to combine mobility with accurate and impressive throws makes him particularly difficult for opposing defenses.
Last season, Williams set a record with seven fourth-quarter comebacks, including two against the Packers, highlighted by their Wild Card playoff win. He also established a franchise single-season passing record with 3,942 yards, breaking a mark that had stood since 1995. Remarkably, he achieved all this in just one year under the guidance of head coach and offensive expert Ben Johnson.
Parsons’ comments add depth to their historical rivalry between Green Bay and Chicago Bears, who currently lead in all-time series games played between them, fuelling intense media and fan interest; yet she retains an objective outlook when speaking of rivalries.
Rivalries are for the fans,” Parsons stated in December, while for himself it means going out there and dominating them all – “but sometimes that irritates me because they appear disdainful… my goal in basketball is respect – the only way I know to gain someone else’s is beating the hell out of them!”
