Kansas City Chiefs have found themselves facing some formidable hurdles this season due to injuries. Wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown has been sidelined since preseason with a sternoclavicular shoulder injury; but recently Patrick Mahomes, their quarterback with two Super Bowl wins under his belt has given some encouraging signs regarding Brown’s recovery.
Mahomes appeared optimistic regarding Brown’s recovery process while speaking on Carrington Harrison show, saying it bodes well for their red zone struggles and playoff expectations. Brown attended practice sessions alongside teammates; which served as an encouraging sign.
According to Mahomes, Brown is keen to get back into the game and feels prepared for it. However, his return is contingent upon receiving final clearance from his surgeon, which is expected around week 15. While there’s speculation that Brown could rejoin the team in games during weeks 16 or 17, ensuring he returns when fully ready is critical for both his health and the team’s performance.
Mahomes reassured his teammates by telling them “Yeah, no worries here at all,” while commenting, “he has been working very hard, saying he’s ready to play and getting cleared to go back out there as quickly and sooner rather than later as possible”.
