Early Years and Career Progression of Jake Dennis
Jake Dennis was born in Nuneaton, United Kingdom in 1995 and began karting at eight. At only twelve, he won his inaugural junior British Championship title before making the leap into single-seater racing; starting off his single seater journey by winning InterSteps championship followed by significant performances in Formula Renault 2.0 and European Formula 3. By 2016, Dennis made an impressionful statement by winning two races while placing fourth in championship standings GP3.
Following his stint in GP3, Dennis explored different racing disciplines, including the Endurance World Championship and DTM. In 2024, he participated in the GT World Challenge Europe. Alongside his diverse racing portfolio, Dennis also took on the role of a test driver for Red Bull in F1 since 2018, even participating in free practice sessions at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in 2023.
Jake Dennis in Formula E
Dennis’s journey in Formula E began in late 2020 when he joined Andretti for Season 7. Despite initial challenges, he quickly made a name for himself, securing a pole position and a race victory in Valencia, followed by another win in London, his home race. These achievements placed him third in the season standings.
Season 8 saw continued success, with Dennis finishing sixth overall after another victory at the London E-Prix and consistent performances throughout the season.
World Champion Title
Dennis had an outstanding Formula E World Championship season 9, earning 226 points and taking home victory at Mexico and multiple podium finishes including second places at Berlin, Jakarta, Portland as well as wins in Rome and London to claim victory and secure his championship title.
A Look at Recent Seasons
Dennis was victorious during Season 10’s challenge of Diriyah racing and achieved numerous podium finishes before finishing seventh overall in this global series of electric racing. Now entering Season 11, Dennis continues his push on an international scale of electric racing competition.
