As F1 Academy season kicks off in Shanghai, Rodin Motorsport and their preparations have drawn much of the spotlight. Their mix of new talent and experienced drivers ideally positions them to deal with its challenging track. All three racers from Rodin claimed top 10 positions during Free Practice; signalling an excellent beginning.
Rodin Motorsport’s Blend of Talent
2025’s team roster features an equal mix of rookies and veterans. Emma Felbermayr from Austria comes to single-seat racing from karting; both her grandfather and father competed at Le Mans 24 Hours race, drawing comparisons. Following strong pre-season tests and Eurocup-4 Spanish Winter Championship performances – where she finished 8th- she has made quite an impressionful transition into single seaters, having secured 8th position during China Free Practice sessions!
Ella Lloyd, also making her full-season debut with Rodin Motorsport, represents another fresh talent to watch. The British driver made a striking entry into the F1 Academy with wildcard points finishes in Singapore during the 2024 season and started this season with a strong P6 finish in Free Practice.
Chloe Chong, returning for her second F1 Academy season, already made history as the series’ youngest driver at just 15. After a year in British F4, where she significantly honed her skills, Chong is back and rounded up the top 10 in her return to Free Practice.
