Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are in an intense bidding war to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens, 20. Additionally, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest have taken notice of him due to his impressive performances on the pitch.
Gittens has found his footing at Dortmund since joining in 2020; becoming an integral member of their first team and drawing interest from Premier League clubs looking to reunite him back home.
Despite the growing interest from top English clubs, Dortmund stands firm in their decision not to sell Gittens. It is believed that it would take a substantial offer, possibly upwards of €60 million, to begin negotiations for his transfer.
What Does This Mean for Arsenal and Tottenham?
Arsenal have suffered their third loss without star player Bukayo Saka and are likely looking for additional attacking options; Gittens could provide much-needed support upfront as Gabriel Martinelli struggles.
Tottenham could take great advantage of Gittens’ youth and skill, especially as key players age out, by adding him into their squad as early as now. Gittens could help spur forward-looking plans by providing new talent such as his ability to drive attacks downfield.
