Chelsea Eager to Secure Moves for Sterling and Disasi to Saudi Clubs Before Deadline

soccer news

Chelsea are currently trying to finalise the transfer of Raheem Sterling and Axel Disasi to teams competing in Saudi Pro League by September 23rd’s deadline, although neither player was officially transferred during summer’s summer window. These names remain on Chelsea’s list as potential departure options.

Sterling had drawn interest from various European clubs including Fulham, Besiktas, Bayer Leverkusen and Napoli but no deal materialized. Di same manner, Disasi was considered by West Ham United, Bournemouth United and Wolves for potential transfer deals but ultimately decided against leaving Chelsea.

The club remains confident of reaching agreements to secure exits for both players, possibly including adjustments in asking prices to facilitate transactions. As neither are currently part of Enzo Maresca’s plans, permanent moves over loan stints would be preferred.

Chelsea’s Roster Streamlining Efforts Continue

Chelsea have already parted ways with several players to streamline their squad and create room for new additions such as Christopher Nkunku, Joao Felix, Noni Madueke, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Kieran Dewsbury-Hall. With Saudi transfer deadline approaching quickly on October 3rd – an opportunity will present itself for Chelsea to move Sterling and Disasi off its books and balance its roster after such a busy summer of transfer activity.
