Lazio are taking notice of Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei as January transfer deadline draws nearer, joining other top European clubs who show a keen eye.
Casadei appears likely to leave Stamford Bridge this winter on loan or temporarily on permanent terms, according to reports from Lazio FC and other clubs. While Lazio are said to have shown strong intent by offering him initial loan deal with purchase obligation from them – Chelsea are expected to demand an excessive transfer fee before parting ways with Casadei, 21 years old player.
Cesare Casadei attracting significant transfer interest
Casadei could look elsewhere if Lazio fail to offer him satisfactory terms; AC Milan and Fiorentina among Serie A clubs have expressed an interest. Dutch Eredivisie clubs PSV and Feyenoord, La Liga side Real Betis as well as Real Betis have shown keenness. Casadei may find returning home beneficial after experiencing difficulties playing English football.
Chelsea fans might feel disappointed that Casadei has yet to fulfill his early promise since arriving. Yet given Chelsea’s strategy of recruiting top young talents globally, not every prospect may meet expectations fully; therefore it would likely benefit both parties to find another environment for Casadei where he can fully develop and realize his full potential.
