Liverpool and Arsenal Eye €100 Million Move for Real Madrid’s Rodrygo

soccer news

Rodrygo at Real Madrid has attracted considerable scrutiny this transfer season as his position changes under new coach Xabi Alonso; previously seen as essential to Real’s attacking potential, Rodrygo now finds his role restricted under him and stiff competition for spots among Real’s forward line players.

Rodrygo has seen interest rise across Europe and in particular within England’s Premier League, where Liverpool could potentially target him should their bid to acquire Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak be unsuccessful. Last season alone he contributed 14 goals and 11 assists for Real Madrid before his reduced prominence drew notice by teams such as Liverpool.

Premier League Giants Show Interest

Arsenal have also shown interest in Rodrygo, viewing him as an attractive option should they fail to land Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze. However, a move by Arsenal would necessitate the sale of one of their current left-wingers this summer. Meanwhile, Tottenham have entered the fray, seeing Rodrygo as a potential replacement for Son Heung-min, who has made a move to MLS. The London club has already made initial contact with the player’s representatives.

Manchester City, long-time admirers of Rodrygo, remain interested, with Pep Guardiola looking to revisit a deal for the player that was once considered before his move to Madrid. A swap deal involving Rodri has been speculated, although City seems reluctant to pursue this option seriously.

Real Madrid Sets Price Tag

Real Madrid are willing to consider offers of EUR90 million-EUR100 million from any interested club for Rodrygo; Al-Nassr offer could fit this criteria; however Rodrygo prefers playing his career out in Europe instead.

Although linked with several top clubs, Manchester United and Chelsea remain unknown frontrunners in their pursuit of Rodrygo’s signature. His future remains under constant speculation during this transfer window.
