USWNT Star McCall Zerboni Addresses Concerns Over Trinity Rodman’s Career Amid Injury Speculations

soccer news

Trinity Rodman made headlines earlier this year after she revealed she wasn’t sure whether her back would ever reach 100 percent, prompting speculation from fans and leading to speculation regarding an early end to her promising career at 22. But Washington Spirit forward has since come back from this setback, appearing domestic games and making Emma Hayes’ roster for April camp; yet many believe she is performing below her potential; USWNT veteran McCall Zerboni assures fans she “is still going to be the player that she is”.

Zerboni understands Rodman’s current predicament as she too has suffered injuries throughout her athletic career and can relate to its ups and downs due to past injuries; recovering from such traumas while simultaneously returning to competitive environments such as USWNT can be extremely trying.

Zerboni made her point during a segment of The Attacking Third by noting it to be “super challenging”. She addressed Rodman’s self-doubts following her return from injury and advised fans to maintain perspective. According to Zerboni’s 38 year old perspective on Rodman, patience and ongoing effort in rehab/training sessions remain key; “it just means she needs more prehab/rehab/time in training room/spending more time at prehab/rehab etc and that just takes more work but she will still be playing soccer; don’t panic people!” said Zerboni conveying hope while providing clarity about Rodman’s future soccer career prospects.
